The Decision

Back in July, Heath and I took a 10 day road trip. We went to Badlands National Park in South Dakota. Next, we had to make a stop and see Mt. Rushmore for the first time! Finally, we made our way to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Let me just say how incredible this little road trip was! Don't get me wrong, I love Nashville and I think its beautiful, but its always nice to venture out of your box and experience things you have never gotten to experience. With that being said, once we returned to Nashville and our normal every day lives, we made a decision that we wanted to leave it all behind and go on our very own adventure. So, starting in July, we will be quitting our jobs, moving out of the apartment and will begin traveling the country in our very own RV.   So far we have no set travel plans. We would like to keep it that way for the most part.

This blog will be a way for our families and friends to keep up with us since we will be getting rid of our Iphones and only having tracphones.I will also be throwing some post in about our attempts at being as eco-friendly as possible! I figured now was just as good a time as any to get the blog started so you can follow along with us preparing for our new journey!

For now, enjoy some of the pictures of our first road trip that made us decide that traveling across America is exactly what we wanted to do.

Our campsite at Badlands. 30 miles into the park. No running water. Pit toilets. One of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been.
Pictures just do not do this place justice. So beautiful!
Mt. Rushmore. Way too many people for our liking. It was one of those things that we were happy we saw it, but will never go back.

Our campsite at Rocky Mountain National Park. A little more commercialized than we would normally like, but beautiful none-the-less.

One of my favorite shots from the park. Breathtaking.

Love!

Thanks Aja! We are pretty stoked about it all! I'll have to talk to Heath about the video camera idea! I think that would be great!

oh and one more great idea check out kickstarter.com you can raise money for your trip/project and give people little cool rewards for backing your trip. The trick is to get the funding you have to reach your goal. I think alot of people would love to get involved with it. Its a sweet website my roommate is a graphic novelist and he is using it to fund his project. You could say ur going across the country in your rv etc. and explain your objective and get free money to do it all.
